Digital Editorial Specialist/Writer

One of our valued clients in the Energy industry is seeking a Web Editorial Team Specialist for their Content and Editorial team. This role is an onsite 40 hour per week role in Kingston, Rhode Island.
The ideal Specialist candidate is a confident writer with strong project management skills and digital expertise to support and measurably enhance our email programs, and brand-building presence online. 

The Specialist will work with stakeholders to develop and edit customer-facing digital content, with access to SMEs, research, reports, etc., and will be expected to quickly understand business needs, in context of industry trends. 
In this role, the Specialist develops and executes project plans for various types of digital projects, including the writing involved in the projects. This role drives multiple projects to completion -- on time, on and on specification -- with primary focus on meeting the project brief requirements and maintaining overall stakeholder satisfaction. 
Qualified candidates will be self-starters, able to multi-task, be dependable, and have concise execution during times of high stress projects. 
Expected output is consistently outstanding content for digital elements supporting the company's ambitious growth targets to expand beyond the traditional B2B boundaries into the partner and consumer markets. 

Responsibilities 
* Manage web and digital marketing projects. 
* Writes copy for both digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, site content, and social media. 
* Understands key customer segmentation across our core businesses and performs research as needed. 
* Delivers exceptional web content (example: world-class headlines/copy) that drives measurable customer interest. 
* Project schedule management: project manage critical path and timeline to meet the forecasted delivery deadline. 
Prepare/coordinate prep of work for stakeholder review. 
•Coordinate projects through all major stages of project development (from brief and scope to concept, final approvals). 
•Ensure timely flow of information within the project team. 
•Manage relationships with all stakeholders: content marketing, UX team, writers, business, etc. 
•Identify, communicate, and escalate project risks, issues, dependencies and metrics across a cross-functional project team. 
•Schedule and lead milestone project meetings. 
•Ensure all projects are logged in the task management system. 
•Maintain project documentation including meeting minutes and action items. 
Collaborates with web team and business partners to determine copy direction for digital initiatives. 

Required skills and qualifications 
•Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills 
•Strong timeline and critical path management skills 
•Excellent communication and documentation skills 
•Experience writing/editing for publications, direct marketing, Web-related material, 
•QA experience. 
•Attention to detail and quality service 
•The ability to work in a team environment and work independently; able to communicate and partner across-functional groups 
•The ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously 
•Strong problem-solving skills and project contingency planning capabilities 
•Digital and search marketing savvy with knowledge of SEO, PPC and WCMS platforms preferred 
•Knowledge and experience with web development / web platform technologies preferred 
•Curious about the digital space, tracking the future of digital marketing. 
•Technical content aptitude and attention to detail 
•3-5 years of experience. 
•Bachelors Degree. 

Internal Partnership 
•Work with other Editorial team members, UX team, and leadership to determine best practices for working with stakeholders. 
•Work closely with the Editor for direction on projects. 
•Work with web team to monitor and improve cross-functional process interaction. 
•Navigate organization to bring appropriate parties to assist on project execution.
