Digital Designer, consumer products division

Exciting Designer opportunity available immeidately! This person will play a critical role in guiding the visual identity for our clients recipes. The role is responsible for using design and creative to translate our recipe and food content into engaging and compelling visual assets for digital and social media use. The role will be a part of the Consumer Relationship Marketing (CRM) team and must have a strong digital and social understanding. This individual will be charged with increasing clients Recipes’ brand awareness and consumer engagement across their website, social and email programs. Food and beverage industry and/or Consumer Product industry design experience is ideal!

We’re looking for a team player who is passionate, dedicated, accountable, and is excited to be a part of this new chapter. Location - downtown Chicago

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: 
• Use business goals and brand strategy to design digital assets for web, social, and email to drive consumer acquisition and engagement 
• Create compelling layouts through excellent use of typography, color, and photography that reflect the brand and recipes 
• Stay up to date on social and digital updates and innovations. Adapt and innovate as necessary 
• Work efficiently under fast-paced deadlines, proactively getting briefs with feedback to be clear on the direction and minimize rounds of revisions 
• Manage content workflow from concept design to digital integration 
• Manage and ensure CRM’s digital content catalogue (DAM) is optimized for cross-functional use 
• Enhance and uphold brand standards 
• Ability to communicate strategies and pitch ideas with key stakeholders 
• Ability to collaborate with 3rd party content/production agencies 
• Assist in the planning and creative process of new content development 
• Pre-and-post production quality checks for work delivered by 3rd party content agencies 

Qualifications, skills, and Experience: 

• 1-3 years of graphic design experience 
• 1+ years consumer product goods or digital marketing experience preferred, but not necessary 
• Bachelor’s degree 
• Experience with photography preferred, video production is a plus 
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and experience in Excel and PowerPoint 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• A doer. You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty. You have no ego when it comes to working on small projects – you inherently understand that everything we create impacts our customers. 
• A multi-tasker. Able orchestrate projects of varying levels of complexity, as well as scope, and get great work done, on time. 
• A problem solver. You can take on complex creative issues and find ways to roll out solutions from concept to execution across multiple platforms 
• Highly motivated and high level of accuracy and attention to detail 
• Adaptable and quick learner. Must be able to design and apply style guides creatively 
• Strong creative, organizational, problem solving and time-management skills 
• Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, layout and typography, a broad thinker who is able to offer a variety of design solutions 
• Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time, each with a different deadline 
• Able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision
