HIRING MANAGER NOTES
Each canddiate will be teamed up with a IxD person to wireframe out their visual designs (more so with the DD2 role)
Both of these roles are primarily for "building out their visual language"
Both the web design and mobile design will be split between Seattle and Glendale.. meaning they will be looking for people who are broader in scope and less focused on only Mobile design.
He mentioned that it would be nice to see UI in the candidates backgrounds but moreover strong visual digital designers who have experience in "Consumer Focused Industries"
They are looking for clean and modern aesthetic with a "less is more" type of portfolios.
We should steer clear of people from Amazon and start up type designers because he said they typically have a more "techy" feel to their design and it is usually not as polished as they are looking for.
They have been getting a lot of resumes but he hasn't seem too many that are very good.
Interview process will be phone screen then in person. He is hoping to have these two roles filled by End of September latest. They are not going to rush but also do need the support.
