Digital Designer

A fantastic 12-month contract opportunity with a covetable, well-known business in a covetable location in central Melbourne. The successful applicant will be primarily involved in design and build of engaging digital marketing campaigns and applications for this highly successful brand.

Key aspects of the role:

• Design and build engaging digital marketing campaigns and applications for the highly successful brand

• Rewards Program, e-Commerce store and new business initiatives including new product ranges and international websites, including the design, build and coding requirements for email, mobile, social and website content and applications.

• Create website content (including development, coding, maintenance and editing), ensuring it is integrated, SEO and mobile friendly, information-rich and relevant to the applicable demographic.

• Design and develop front-end website applications to deliver engaging and interactive web, email and social media content, working with external back end developers as required.

• Implement new online initiatives and keep abreast of new and emerging technologies.

• Create all front end development, code and design for:
- Mobile/Tablet website design, content and developments
- Social media applications
- Front end website applications and development of promotional websites

Experience required

• Minimum 3-4 years in a digital design/developer role in a retail business (preferably retail) or creative/digital agency.

• Proven working knowledge of Adobe suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, In-design, Fireworks, Dreamweaver etc.

• A flair for design and the ability to deliver creative solutions on brief.
• Understanding and proven experience with developing and executing responsive design.

• Solid experience using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and Macromedia.

• Skilled on both PC and Mac and experience working with Email (Responsys ideal but not required) and CMS and web (Magento ideal but not required) platforms.

• Strong communication skills.

• Able to manage multiple projects and work within short timeframes with accuracy.
