A branding and communications agency in Surrey are looking for a Digital Designer to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.
Set in a converted barn in the Surrey countryside, the agency are made up of around 25 people across creative, accounts, digital and operations. As a mid-weight digital designer joining this team you will support the Creative Director in providing high quality multi-channel digital design solutions. You will work with creative colleagues to design and build pixel-perfect advertising an digital assets across display, web, email, social media and mobile. While the agency's client base sits within traditional sectors (education, healthcare, finance and B2B), they pride themselves on providing exceptional integrated experiences.
The agency are looking for someone who is a creative thinker who can communicate their ideas both internally and to their clients. There is real potential within this role to take the lead on specific client projects and be highly consultative in a client-facing capacity. There could also be future opportunities to support the agency's new business activity. The ideal candidate will be a digital native with a passion for creative functional user experiences, but will also be highly skilled in traditional graphic design, typography and layout.

As a digital designer for this agency your responsibilities will include:
• Designing and building digital and advertising assets across display, web, email, social media and mobile.
• Designing and building landing pages for advertising campaigns.
• Adhering to brand guidelines and brief specifications, bearing in mind client/campaign objectives, device/channel/platform/OS considerations as well as analytics insights and peer/client feedback.
• Incorporating UI/UX/responsive/adaptive design principles in all design work.
• Presenting concepts, wireframes, mockups and final working designs to internal team and client teams, as and when required.
• Developing and maintaining up-to-date and relevant knowledge and expertise of digital design and advertising trends and tools through ongoing self-study.
• Accurately documenting and maintaining records of processes, procedures and other relevant information as directed.
• Supporting the development and promotion of the agency's services, e.g., through social media, blogging and other channels.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a creative/advertising agency or in-house design team. As well as being a conceptual creative with expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, candidates will also have expertise creating wireframes and prototypes across digital channels and platforms. The successful candidate will also ideally have experience of Actionscript as they want to bring their currently outsourced rich media ad builds in-house. Hand-coding experience of HTML5, CSS3 & Javascript would also be a bonus.
This is a full-time on site role (5 days/37.5 hours per week); due to the location candidates must have clean driving license and access to own transport.
