Digital Designer

We are seeking a versatile Digital Designer for a two-month contract to support our client's marketing programs within their busy in-house agency. With your background in digital marketing, you know how to bring experiences to life using compelling imagery and/or animation. As a key member of the Creative Services team, the Digital Designer will work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders to create engaging, usable, and desirable cross-platform interfaces including emails, landing pages, interactive HTML5 banners and other marketing materials.

 

Qualifications:

  • An outstanding online portfolio that showcases innovative visual design solutions
  • Expertise in HTML5/CSS3 development, with knowledge of JavaScript
  • Experience coding responsive and dynamic emails
  • End-to-end design skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with a desire to partner with teammates
  • Able to meet tight and changing deadlines while maintaining a great attitude and positive outlook.
  • Proven understanding of typography, layout, colour and grid structures
  • High attention to detail
  • A UX/UI web design background
  • Familiarity with constraints and limitations as they apply to designing emails for desktop and mobile
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software, including Photoshop
  • Ability to think and articulate designs, ideas, and thoughts, both conceptually and technically
  • Aware of the most up to date design practices across industries. 
  • Familiarity with Marketo or other enterprise level marketing automation platforms. 
  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, etc)

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute top-quality marketing assets from concept to launch while complying with brand standards
  • Create HTML5 DCM banners, email and landing page banners, micro sites social media static banners and other electronic media
  • Produce clean cross-client friendly CSS while considering the limitations of email HTML, responsiveness, etc.
  • Create HTML emails, landing pages and forms
  • Interact with copywriters and designers to develop creative solutions
  • Articulate and present creative ideas/treatments to teams and clients
  • Develop wireframes, and prototypes and animation storyboards and as needed
  • Thoughtfully incorporate team feedback into designs
  • Test designs usability, quality and responsiveness with all major browsers and email clients
  • Debug rendering issues using CrossBrowserTesting and Litmus
  • Work independently and across multiple teams
  • Take full ownership of your work (down to every detail) from brief to launch
  • Stay current with latest design and advertising trends
