Digital Designer

The Digital Designer will create and assist with digital ad campaigns, email marketing, asset creation for web, print, and social media and print collateral if needed. This designer will have strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of engaging user experiences. The position reports to Creative Services Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Create, design, and develop digital assets to support interactive campaigns including email blasts, micro-sites, advertising and other digital projects with an eye to keep designs on-brand.


● Collaborates with Creative Services Manager and project team members to ensure details of projects are on-brand, thought out and well designed.


● Work well in a collaborative, team based environment (work autonomously and as part of team).


● Work with team members, brief and advise them with regard to proposal style, format, production and timelines.


● Work with design team to help manage and complete projects within tight deadlines.


● Execute day-to-day design and production of digital creative assets for webpages, emails, social media, and online advertising.


● Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for 3D illustrations, company logos, and internet websites.

● Checks projects to ensure accuracy of production files.


● Ensures requested corrections are completed on assigned projects before being reviewed by senior management.


● Ensure on-brand continuity in visual messaging across all digital channels.


● Monitors own time on assigned projects to ensure established due dates are met.


SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS


● Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or Advertising with a digital focus.


● 3-5 years of design, graphic arts, and production in agency/retail preferred.


● Significant experience in layout for digital and print with proven graphic design skills and experience with photo art direction a plus.


● Solid knowledge of UI and UX design trends


● Excellent knowledge of design techniques, interactive tools and principles; media production, communication, a strong eye for typography and color.


● Possess a knowledge of interaction design, user-centered experience design, brand development, digital marketing and the creative process.


● Have a working knowledge of digital advertising in all areas and stages of development.


● Solid knowledge of post-production and retouching image processes.


● Excellent understanding of web and mobile standards, including responsive design and usability.


● Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment, be self-motivated and adaptive to change.


● Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (CS2), as well as Power Point and Keynote.


● HTML5, CSS, 3D and Motion design experience is a plus


● Macintosh hardware equipment

● A portfolio of previous work
