Digital Designer - 12 month contract

Our client an award winning agency focused on shopper marketing, brand activation and promotions is looking for a solid, established senior digital designer who’s on the verge of greatness and potentially close to moving into their next role!
We need rock solid experience in digital FMCG promotions and interface design, this should be absolute second nature, but we’re also looking for an innate hunger for bigger and better things – like creating awesome designs using emerging technologies and making creative digital ideas come to life.
We’re basically looking for someone who is happy to get stuck in, but who also wants to help us continue on the pitch-winning spree that we’re on.

Position Summary
Reports To: Director of Digital Services
Position Summary: The Senior Digital Designer is responsible for art concepts in the production of
Web sites, working within the Creative team or as a part of an Art Design team with other Digital
Designers and Copywriters, when appropriate.
Position Requirements/Responsibilities:
Understands overall how digital sites, apps and mobile come together and understands the
ever-changing internet and the challenges for brands.
Has a basic understanding of HTML programming as it relates to design.
Has worked collaboratively with technical teams to ensure technically sound designs
Is an idea generator that feels comfortable working in client pitch teams from concept to execution.
Design digital according to strategic plans provided by the Creative Director, Director of Digital
Services and the Director or Technology.
Is commercially savvy and understands the commercial nature of Agency life, ie. ready to let a design
go when the timeline or budget requires it.
Works with, and on occasion lead other Digital Designers, Art Directors, Copywriters and designated
“team” personnel in production of creative materials.
Helps establish and maintain quality and award-winning work that goes beyond design and cuts
through to brand image and identity.
Works with technology team, providing complete input and any instruction and supervision required
to smoothly complete production of approved design. Provides all required specifications.
Reviews all production materials on assigned projects and signs off prior to forwarding jobs for
approval.
Meets with Account Executives, as required, to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned
projects.
Has working knowledge of computer design software and hardware and strives to stay current in
level of knowledge and abilities
