Digital Design Manager

The Digital Design Manager is responsible for managing the Digital Design team in delivering the creative asset requirement for a game console's store owned channels in the EMEA/ANZ region, and campaign assets for syndication across external media.
Our client is a global entertainment brand based in central London and this role is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a world leading brand at the forefront of a key growth sector. - This game console's store exists on 6 channels across the company's consoles, web and mobile platforms. - The store sells digital games, movies and TV content and also offers music and video subscriptions for a number of connected devices. - In the EMEA/ANZ region, the store operates in 35 countries, 14 languages and 20 currencies - a total of 45 storefront locales.

Overall Role:
- Support the Head of Digital Merchandising in executing the creative design strategy to optimise commercial performance and achieve channel KPI targets.
- Work with the retail and visual merchandising teams to develop BAU processes and improve the efficiency of storefront publishing.
- Work with the marketing team to deliver static and dynamic campaign assets for use across a range of external media.

Day-to-Day:
- Manage a small team of designers, including objective setting, performance appraisals and general team administration.
- When necessary, recruit contract designers and new team members.
- Work with the trading, merchandising and marketing teams to gather requirements for campaign creative.
- Devise, oversee and approve creative executions to maintain an innovative yet consistent creative approach across channels.
- Oversee creative executions to ensure compliance to brand and design guidelines.
- Manage workflow and briefing processes to ensure optimum delivery of creative assets.
- Take responsibility for the timeliness and quality of asset delivery across all store channels and marketing media.
- Implement a QA process to monitor the quality of output and consistency across storefronts.
- Develop and maintain best practice documentation and guidelines for internal and external use.
- Ensure that Digital Design plans and performance are communicated with appropriate levels of information among key internal stakeholders.

Strategic:
- Contribute to ongoing development of the creative design strategy.
- Develop a localised creative approach, focused on consumer preferences within individual countries.
- Contribute hypotheses to the A/B Testing programme to drive continuous improvement in creative execution across all channels.
- Contribute testing requirements to the consumer insight programme and apply findings to develop the creative approach.
- Identify tool requirements to improve the efficiency of the digital design process.

Skills & Experience
Must have:
• Experience managing a small team.
• Familiarity with established and scalable creative workflow processes.
• Professional working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash and MS Office.
• Creative ability and skill producing campaign artwork.
• An understanding of how consumers interact with digital content.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Well organised and process driven with a strong eye for detail.
• Proactive drive and passion for contributing to business success.
• Background in ecommerce, digital retail design, or usability.
