Digital Creative Director

We are looking for a Digital Creative Director who would be responsible for developing innovative concepts and design for our client's key brands and who brings cutting- edge design skills and well-honed mentorship experience to a highly entrepreneurial team for 3 -4 months. If you demonstrate a passion for strategic problem solving and a deep understanding of web design (primary – 30%), email (primary – 70%), social media, search, iPad, WAP, and user experience, we should talk.

Our ideal candidate has exposure to eCommerce within a Retail environment and is a collaborative team player with a track record for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will manage a team of talented Designers and Production Artists and you will also maintain the integrity of the client's brands while developing creative concepts and leading digital creative. You will be considered a “brand steward” by maintaining the integrity of the client's brand, developing award-winning creative, and meeting the changing needs of a number of internal business partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand strategic goals and brand; analyze the creative team, environment, processes and technologies to determine areas of improvement and build/direct a digital creative function that aligns with strategic goals and brand objectives
• Foster a creative culture that supports innovation, teamwork and professional development
• Lead a high-volume digital design process, actively designing and art directing while adhering to strict schedules in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with the Creative Director/Photography, Catalog Design Director, Senior Director of Integrated Direct Marketing and catalog and web teams in creating concepts and presenting seasonal and brand design campaigns
• Apply digital design best practices to ensure effective projects, crafted to engage customers, build relationship and loyalty, inspire confidence, and drive sales
• Manage 4 -5 direct reports
• On a daily basis, manage expectations, negotiate timelines, manage roadblocks and deliver creative to various internal internal clients – including: Site, Email Marketing, Affiliate Marketing and Social Marketing.

REQUIREMENTS
• 8+ years of creative experience with strong working knowledge of web design, art direction and e-commerce; with five years in a management role
• 2+ years working for a retail company or retail client where digital creative is integral to the products’ success
• Proven ability to hire, motivate and inspire a design team
• Ability to navigate upper management and multi-team issues
• Ability to create clear customer-friendly design that drives business success
• Broad design skill set that includes Web design, email, mobile and other digital media types
• Ability to assimilate information and translate it into informative, compelling design
• Good understanding of copy fundamentals including all media vehicles
• Must be proficient on Mac OSX, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, CSS, HTML and Flash
• Should be familiar with Final Cut Pro, HTML5, AfterEffects and JavaScript. Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Advertising, Marketing or related field
