Managing the development and implementation of integrated marketing plans and initiatives for a business unit, field or department - web content and ecomm

This position contributes to our client’s success by recommending, creating, and implementing channel and sustainment content strategies that meet business goals, elevate the channel, tell cross-platform stories, and deliver excellent user experience for web, eComm and SDN channels. The content strategist reports to the web content manager and works closely with Planning, Creative, Category, Global Marketing, IT , PR and other teams to develop and execute channel strategy, owned sustainment content creation, ecomm merchandising plans and execution concepts and to refine creative direction for sustainment/evergreen content across .com, eComm and the Digital Network owned channels.

The web content strategist has extensive knowledge of digital content strategies, ecomm planning and strong opinions on how owned content platforms can work together to create best-in-class experiences that drive greater customer engagement. This role primarily and exclusively focuses on creating and maintaining overall channel strategy and digital evergreen content strategy across owned platforms, and does not focus on promo content. Models and acts in accordance with guiding principles.

Includes strategic planning and execution. Relationship management with external agencies, vendors or business partners. Leading and facilitating cross-functional or organizational groups.

• Develops digital channel and content strategies for sustainment categories across web, ecomm and digital networks.
Create merchandising plans for ecommerce site
• Understands digital channel and content analytics and success measures and can analyze and report content performance that informs channel strategy and is meaningful to stakeholders
• Optimizing SEO for content for web and ecomm
• Identify and executes channel and content strategies that support business goals; identifying content marketing opportunities, including ways to repurpose existing content throughout owned platforms and other digital channels.
• Plans and manages web and digital networks sustainment & eComm editorial calendar
• Own and maintain promo-based spreadsheet of all ecommerce offers to be run & executed on site per promotion period to both give visibility to all channel owners & BU of all upcoming offers, but to also provide producers with enough information to execute (vis a vi PFSWeb merchandising team)
• Opportunity to ‘tier’ eComm offer executions in future based on business impact & customer impact
• Manages complex content projects, web content and channel hygiene, including managing content audits. Uses project management skills to organize high-volume projects across starbucks.com, store.com and SDN.
• Manages and optimizes product recommendation engine across eComm site to improve key site metrics (Average order value, items per order, conversion rate)
• Executes on assigned projects from intake. Assists with editorial calendar review meetings and works with Producer on kick-off briefings. Provides oversight of .com, ecomm and digital networks calendars.
• Communicates channel strategies to internal and external partners
• Assists with testing planning for web & eComm and creates site test plans
