Digital Content Planner- Social Media Specialist

Our client has a need for a Digital Content Planner- Social Media Specialist. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing tactics appropriate for use in social media in support of the Digital Marketing of their business. This includes the promotion of events, programs and products related to social media platforms.

Review and map existing social media content strategy and work with business partners and strategist to assure a messaging plan that incorporates social media best practices, and enterprise goals particularly as it pertains to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and the company blog. This includes the strategic use of post to promote and other audience building tools.
Draft, review and submit social media content for Facebook, Twitter, and the blog.
Work with copywriter to develop content for inclusion on the social media platforms in order to drive audience engagement .
Create and/or support the development of video in support of brand messaging for social media channels.

Skills
• Strong capabilities to classify content using meta data and to develop a SEO strategy and implement a robust SEO tactical plan.
• Strong capabilities in use of Word Press or other blog publishing tools.
• Strong capabilities in the use of web content management systems.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with challenging deadlines
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a marketing, communications or business discipline preferred
• 1-2 years in a digital communicator’s role, such as an e-mail marketer, social media specialist or web editor
• 2-5 years in a traditional marketing communications role that required a high-degree of project management and resource planning capabilities
