Digital Content Marketing & Social Media Manager

Looking for the perfect opportunity to demonstate your writing and social media chops? This is an outstanding contract-to-hire opportunity to work with a well known brand in the consumer products a minimum of that is looking to expand it's reach via social media. This position requires someone who has experience not just in executing, but in strategy as well....someone who can evaluate current content proprerties and make recommendations based on your personal experience, and then be responsible for executing on that strategy.

In this position you will:

- manage digital content & social media projects
- maintain website content
- manage social media properties
- work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- develop content to drive awareness, engagement, conversations and word-of-mouth recommendations
- conduct analysis/research to aid in providing guidance and recommendations.
- generate and post daily content to a variety of social media platforms.
- respond to and interact with consumers via social media channels.
- understand technical aspects of social media platforms.
- work with brand managers to create drafts of digital content calendar.
- follow and implement brand standards across digital properties.
- maintain content on owned properties to ensure content is relevant, accurate and up-to-date.
- cordinate syndication & distribution of branded content to retailer websites and other digital properties as well as ensures accuracy and functionality of syndication.
- analyzes consumer inquiry trends and recommends improvements to digital assets and content.
- execute consumer promotions and partner with vendors to facilitate campaigns.
- manage tactics and measurement to support campaigns.
- support projects related to content production.
- supports programs and campaigns, with guidance, that align with and support the brand’s overall business objectives including marketing and brand positioning.
- help measure customer and consumer satisfaction and engagement, qualitative and quantitative metrics.
- participate in planning and analysis of digital analytics and creates reports for distribution.
- supports clear and measurable goals for all social media / consumer engagement efforts, monitors progress and tracks media coverage/brand mentions where necessary.
- support digital agency staff to deliver branded content and social media projects as well as digital marketing campaigns.
- assist with meeting planning and preparation logistics.
- cultivate relationships with peers throughout the company to discuss and share experiences and best practices.
- keep abreast of industry and consumer trends to evaluate and recommend enhancements and changes to the digital properties and strategies.
- assist with digital marketing functions, including overall day-to-day operations of the digital marketing campaigns, websites and social media properties.

You should have:

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field.

- a MINIMUM of 4 years of combined digital content marketing and social media work experience.

- Demonstrated experience managing social media properties.

- Digital marketing metrics and analytics experience.

- Familiararity with social media platforms and tools.

- Good written and oral communications skills.

- Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities and challenges.

- Experience working with various content management systems.

- Must have a basic understanding of the technical workings of digital properties including but not limited to: HTML, UI design, blogs, and analytic programs.

- Knowledge of design, photo and video software is a plus.
