Great Australian retail success story, established in 1985 this South-Eastern based company has evolved in to a leading home lifestyle retailer. In recent years they have rapidly grown with 50 stores operating throughout Australia and New Zealand, expanding their ranges and building an eCommerce channel.
They are now embarking on the next stage of their digital journey to build an engaged customer base who enjoy a seamless brand experience across in-store to online channels. This newly created Digital Content Manager will play a pivotal part in the digital capability of driving the development and growth of the online channels.
As the Digital Content Manager you will report to the National Marketing Manager and will be tasked with bringing creative concepts to life on the businesses social channels, website, EDMs and blog through effective story telling. The purpose of the role will be to grow the following and engagement of the online community.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the content calendar, planning, creation, copywriting, eDM schedules and publishing social posts across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, You Tube, ES blog for all brand campaigns, product launches, and day to day content plan.
To act as the brand custodian and storyteller for the organisation taking the lead on producing, writing and developing the content calendar across all digital channels.
One of the key areas for the role is the social media strategy. You will manage the implementation and optimisation of paid campaigns across social media platforms. This role has editorial control over social media content ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to.
While the core of this position is to build the content strategy, create and optimise the content itself, stakeholder management and liaising cross-functionally will be central too, such as advising category managers on how to improve the content driven marketing strategy for their products.
To implement and reinforce content and social media best practices within the business.
You will measure and report on performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against KPIs. You will do this using Google Analytics etc.

A creative thinker with a focus on the customer, you are experienced in using analytics, reporting and SEO principles when creating digital content that will significantly increase ROI.
You know how to make the most out of content driven campaigns across a range of Social Media platforms. You are known for your consultative and collaborative style along with your ability to fuse social media strategy and digital marketing expertise to create campaigns that grow new audiences. You can also bring the following to the role:
5+ years’ experience in online marketing, social media publishing/management and paid social campaigns;
Strong understanding of content marketing and different digital mediums;
Creative background with experience in developing original ideas into original content for digital audiences;
Excellent creative copy writing skills
Experience in planning and buying within digital, using Facebook Power Editor and You Tube and Pinterest marketing platforms;
Experience in using Google Analytics, Salesforce, Mail Chimp, Magento
Experience in web publishing including using Photoshop and HTML is desirable
Solid understanding of working alongside a category team
Degree in Journalism, Marketing or relevant field
