McKesson is seeking a Digital Content Manager to join the Corporate Digital Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will champion digital content for our public facing web property, www.mckesson.com, and ensure that we deliver a content-rich digital experience to our customers and prospects. We are looking for an expert writer, editor and curator who knows how to use technical platforms to deliver rich, brand building content.

Position Description
The primary responsibility of the Digital Content Manager is to support the client's overall content strategy by collecting, writing, editing, and governing while following brand standards and voice and maximizing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques. In addition, the Content Manager will support the various business unit marketing teams, recommending ways to improve website content strategy, and ensuring that custom content creation optimizes usability and retention on pages.

Duties and Responsibilities of the job:
Ensure all content is accurate, relevant, timely and written and displayed properly within McKesson.com and meets all brand and search standards.
Ensure all content is consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice.
Create engaging content for cross-business unit pages.
Collaborate with SEO manager to ensure all web content follows current SEO best practices.
Serve as a representative for website best practices and strategy to key stakeholders and ensure their content strategy delivers a high-quality customer experience.
Coordinate, manage, build, and optimize processes to ensure content development is completed in a manner that optimizes both efficiency and quality.
Constantly test and measure existing content for relevance and results.
Think strategically to identify categories of content that can be developed to grow our business.
Drive innovation by staying current with technology, trends, and new ideas for content management and process improvements.
Evaluate existing content/assets to determine whether they need to be retired, repurposed or revamped for continued use.
Coordinate digital content projects across departments.
Develop and maintain content templates and styleguides.




Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
3+ years of marketing experience including 1+ years managerial experience

Critical Skills
Experience and Training:
3+ years’ hands-on B2B marketing experience in content development, campaign development or as a marketing generalist.
Minimum 2 years of online editorial/content strategy experience for the web.
Strong writing skills. Ability to research, write and edit content .
Must edit and proofread own work and manage information from business owners with the ability to accept constructive feedback.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; work collaboratively with cross-functional teams; ensure high quality deliverables (attention to detail).
Experience in search engine optimization, including effect use of taxonomy.
Experience and ability to work within online content management systems.
Experience in usability testing.
Experience in large, heavily matrixed organizations.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills - analyze and make meaning out of data, translating that into actionable changes; always innovating, never satisfied with the status quo.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking and creative problem solving skills.

Technical Knowledge:
Deep knowledge around content lifecycle management.
Deep understanding of content marketing principles through the applications of thought leadership, demand generation and sales acceleration.
Demonstrated knowledge of state-of-the-art techniques for mapping content to an identified buyer’s journey.
Education:
B.A. degree in Marketing, Business or Communications required or equivalent experience.
B.A. or certification in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Public Relations, or similar preferred.
