Role Overview
Our client, a charitable organization based in central London, is looking for a Digital Content Editor to join their team on a permanent basis. The main aim of the role is to maintain and improve the organizations digital content across its 4 websites. Leading on content creation to meet customer need and provide creative content solutions to support our internal stakeholders and transform our digital offerings.

Key Accountabilities
• Supports the quality of content on 4 websites, ensuring that it is customer-focused, on brand and on message, accessible and in line with the digital strategy
• Research and create new digital content. Works with colleagues across the organisation to create content for online publication
• Approves digital content for publication online
• Ensures that digital content is optimised for search
• Work with colleagues in the Digital team to ensure that our digital landscape is joined up, relevant and follows best practise
• Act as a point of contact internally for digital content and web writing queries
• Develop innovative solutions for creating and improving digital content and processes
• Support the day-to-day maintenance of digital content
• Support the development of integrated digital campaigns
• Communicate with content coordinators, ensuring they are kept up to date with best practice and standards
• Monitor and report on the success of key digital content, working with business owners to plan improvements
• Develop guidelines for digital content writing and using the CMS and plans training courses for relevant staff in the organisation
• Uses analytics tools to assess the effectiveness of digital content and to improve it accordingly
• Ensures that our key websites offer a joined-up experience for customers
• Proactively monitors and responds to customer queries/ feedback
• Supports the web approval, content coordinator and training process

Person Specification
• A proven track record of digital writing and creating audience led content
• Ability to write in a clear and concise manner, adapting style and language to suit the audience.
• An understanding of search engine optimisation principles
• The ability to use user research and analytics to drive content creation and strategy
• Experience commissioning and editing digital content
• Experience leading on digital content creation and evaluation, working with a wide range of stakeholders
• The ability to manage and prioritise digital content projects, end-to-end
• Use Google Analytics to evaluate content and set goals
• Experience of writing guidelines and/or setting up processes to follow
