Digital Content Editor

Our client, a major pharmaceutical company, is looking to hire a digital content editor on a long-term contract basis (10+ months or longer). The Digital Content Editor will be a key member of a global digital marketing team. The individual manages assigned country site content projects from inception to delivery. Qualified candidates should have 1-2+ years of experience editing online content, selecting imagery and working with a CMS tool. DIGITAL CONTENT EDITOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND SERVICES
• Edit/Curate content changes
-Edit copy
-Identify imagery
-Optimize user experience

• Light copywriting
• Enter changes in Tridion Content Management System (CMS) or direct others
• Assist in development of governance and editorial standards and departmental procedures
• Create and maintain documentation
• For any functionality changes being developed, work with technical teams to optimize the user experience and train/orient others
• Collaborate with others to conceptualize and create additional digital content
• Manage small projects
-Define requirements
-Define activities
-Assign roles and responsibilities
-Determine timelines
-Communicate appropriately
-Recognize and resolve issues
-Drive to completion

DIGITAL CONTENT CURATOR QUALIFICATIONS
• Significant experience delivering content in Web platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Thorough knowledge of grammar, usage, spelling.
• Team player with strong organization skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• These additional qualifications would be beneficial:
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related area.
• Experience developing and executing content marketing plans.
• Experience managing content in SDL Tridion or other CMS tools.
• Experience interviewing individuals on various topics and developing content for publication.
• Experience delivering content in multiple formats using multiple forms of communication, including traditional media, multimedia and other emerging communication platforms.
• Experience developing and managing an editorial calendar.
• Experience using analytics to determine the impact and effectiveness of communication channels and better inform strategy.
