Digital Content Editor

This role performs two key roles within Global Digital Marketing: 1) As a Digital Content Editor this individual manages changes to Hospira customer-facing websites. This individual has responsibility for general content and product data content 2) As a Technical Liaison, coordinate with vendor and in-house technical teams to make programming changes to CMS and other aspects of our web environment.


• Manage General content
o Edit/Curate content changes
 Light copy editing
 Identify imagery
 Optimize user experience
o Light copywriting
• Enter changes in Tridion Content Management System (CMS) or direct others
o Knowledge of HTML important
• Manage Product data
o Understand product characteristics of our IV set and pump portfolios
o Understand data fields related to product characteristics, their possible values and meanings
o Understand the Tridion CMS templates and functionality for product pages
o Access controlled documentation for device and nutrition products through the SAP system
o Be able to interpret controlled documents such as product drawings and .35, .40 documents and extract necessary information from them
o Understand imagery needed and the purpose for each type of image
o Understand product tracking database and how to use it to enter and extract data
o Understand batch import/export functionality, including how to import imagery and attachments such as pdfs.
o Understand the availability spreadsheet, it’s format and the conditions under which it needs to be updated
o Coordinate with multiple contacts within the business to plan data changes and obtain approvals
• Create and maintain documentation
• For any functionality changes being developed, work with technical teams to optimize the user experience and train/orient others
• Collaborate with others to conceptualize and create additional digital content
• Manage small projects
o Define requirements
o Define activities
o Assign roles and responsibilities
o Determine timelines
o Communicate appropriately
o Recognize and resolve issues
o Drive to completion
• Understand functionality of websites and fundamentals of associated web environment, including
o Launching new websites
o Form functionality
o Solar search functionality
o Google Analytics and general SEO concepts
• Understand all outstanding tickets identifying system errors or development requests and coordinate their progression to completion
o Work with management and peers to identify priorities, communicate status, ensure proper test plans are developed and executed and that changes are migrated in a smooth and timely fashion
• Develop and maintain test scripts
