This exciting new role is an opportunity not to be missed! Working as part of a small, passionate and driven team with one of Australia's leading companies you will develop, implement and drive the editorial strategy to engage existing and new audiences through both innovative and competitively compelling offerings for the digital property and associated brand extensions.

The role sits within the editorial team who are responsible for a website which is the company's number one food and lifestyle brand. An understanding and passion for food is essential as is experience in a previous food related content type of role. You may have worked for a food publication, written your own food blog or come from a food editing background. This type of experience will be highly regarded and potentially help you secure a role with a high profile brand. They want someone who is data driven that can drive audience traffic through curation of multichannel but relevant content across mobile, tablet and desktop. They are also looking to increase their social media presence through Facebook and Instagram.

In this key role you will formulate the digital editorial strategy in conjunction with the relevant heads of the business to deliver key metrics across revenue, traffic and audience to meet budgets and targets. As well as having creative flare you must also love email and be very data and metrics driven and be able to manage multiple campaigns at the same time. Your success will also depend on you connecting with your audiences and demonstrating a strong interest and understanding of the content in order to drive online traffic.

Additional editorial strategy tasks include:

• Leveraging key stakeholders within the relevant businesses to ensure delivery of content that meets user and advertiser propositions;
• Secure internal and external stakeholder engagement and support for the editorial strategy;
• Implement editorial and brand guidelines for daily content publishing cycle in line with audience and search insights;
• Manage and implement the social media strategy and effective execution and presence;
• Ensure editorial content is published in line with brand and/or editorial plans;
• Work collaboratively with broader product team to identify and implement improvements to existing functionality, design and structure on an ongoing basis;
• Manage and/or approve all communications regarding the website; and
• Continually develop and refine editorial initiatives that create compelling reasons for audiences to interact with and return to the site

You will have at least four years media/publishing and online experience with proven capability in a commercial role including responsibility for revenue, targets and P&L. Experience working with sales teams is a must as is solid editorial understanding and knowledge. Exceptional stakeholder management skills are essential as you will be liaising both internally and externally. You will need to be commercially savvy and be able to research and produce content that effectively supports editorial and commercial objectives. You will also need to demonstrate a solid understanding of digital, user experience, media and editorial.
