Excellent career opportunity in Global Brand Marketing! Our client, is looking to hire a Digital Content Manager/Curator for a long-term contract job opportunity. (March 3, 2014 through the end of 2014--possibly longer.) The Digital Content Curator will manage new content development for new sites in 7‐10 countries and content enhancements to U.S site.

Activities for the rollout of new country sites include:
• Understanding existing content development approach; develop presentation to orient country teams
• Establishing and evolving the content development process, with management
• Developing editorial standards for use of new layouts and responsive design; document and train others as needed
• Edit and curate content submitted by country teams
• Provide feedback to teams and work collaboratively with teams to finalize content
• Develop new content, writing copy and identifying images for small portions of the site(s)
• For any functionality changes being developed, working with technical teams to provide the best user experience

Activities for content enhancements to U.S. site include:
• assessing requested changes
• identifying needs for copy and imagery and identifying resources to supply them
• ensuring compliance with governance
• with management establish additional governance and associated procedures
• document and train others on governance, including change request processes;
• as time permits collaborate with Hospira US marketing and others to conceptualize, create and distribute digital content

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
• Significant experience delivering content in Web platforms
• Thorough knowledge of grammar, usage, spelling
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Team player with strong organization skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Important
• Bachelor’s degree required in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related area required.
• Strategic‐minded with a desire to take a hands‐on approach to content creation.
• Experience developing and executing content marketing plans.
• Experience with HTML and website content management tools
• Experience interviewing individuals on various topics and developing content for publication.

Nice to Have
• Experience delivering content in multiple formats using multiple forms of communication, including traditional media, multimedia and other emerging communication platforms.
• Experience developing and managing an editorial calendar.
• Experience using analytics to determine the impact and effectiveness of communication channels and better inform strategy.
• Knowledge of AP style
