Digital Channel and Operations Manager

A large corporate management organisation is looking for a Digital Channel and Operations Manager.

The Channel and Operations Manager is responsible for managing overall Digital Product Ownership for all of the client’s energy customer’s owned B2C Digital channels as well as day to day performance, operations and compliance of all B2C digital channels (web, mobile web, app, email, social, etc) and Digital Planning.

The Channel and Operations Manager will have responsibility for the quality, performance and compliance of all Digital planning activity, the change Backlog for each owned Digital channel as well as the ability of every channel to deliver the required business KPIs. The Channel and Operations Manager will work closely with Marketing, operations, propositions and development teams in order to support delivery of all of the client’s digital business objectives


Establish and manage the business side product development and operational processes for digital channels alongside the rest of the Digital Management team, Marketing planning community and the Digital Development Manager, while ensure they keep pace with evolving best practice
Provide day to day Digital planning leadership across the digital and B2C digital landscape
Drive best practice and standardisation of Digital Product management and operations,
Build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders and digital agencies so that the business gains best possible value and quality from its digital assets
Together with the Head of Digital and the rest of the digital team develop, communicate and deliver the client’s digital strategy.
Influence stakeholders across the business to drive the adoption of the digital strategy

Key Skills and experience:

Strong strategic leadership skills will be required to research, evaluate and implement future tools
Extensive experience of working in a Digital, technology-centric environment, operating medium- and large-scale channels in an environment of continuous change and optimisation.
Strongly familiar with all aspects of planning operating best practice, compliant Digital activity, platforms and ecosystems, including influencing prioritisation and budgeting decision in a business-oriented role
An education to degree standard is also required or a demonstration of ability to the same level delivered in a working environment
Familiarity with principles and processes associated with planning for a secure, compliant and future-proofed Digital ecosystem across disparate platforms and multiple external partners
A strong sense for cost and resource options for all Digital operations requirements to support eCommerce and Eservice capabilities
Experience of managing digital projects, specialists and a roster of digital agencies and internal/external IT suppliers to provide consistently high-quality digital operations
High level of business and market awareness
