Digital Business Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analyst with solid experience working for digital clients/agencies to join our growing digital team based in Soho. Following recent growth and client project wins, the scope of our remit has increased to cover all aspects of digital delivery. The work is varied with both direct and agency clients. There is a growing need to better define the client opportunity and business requirements through both the new biz/discover phase and during delivery of projects via the project management, design and development team.

We are looking for a Business Analyst that can work closely with our clients, traditional account teams and digital production team to deliver our ambitious target of becoming the UK’s leading production agency. The successful candidate will work on varied and fast evolving client projects and will need to:


• Work with business users both within Hogarth and at our external clients to gain an understanding of their business and digital requirements.
• Gain an understanding of our primary technical capabilitilites (both onshore and offshore teams) and confidently discuss their features, limitations.
• Work with Hogarth management team (primarily the Chief Digital Officer and UK Head of Digital) to define and deliver new business proposals.
• Meet with key client business stakeholders to develop an understanding of the business need and objectives requiring a technology solution, aligning the requirements and scope of work with the objectives of the client.
• Engage with client stakeholders as appropriate in planning discussions as an advisor for new solutions or functionality in existing solutions to support or enhance evolving business objectives.
• Guide the shape and scope of projects with prospective or existing clients.
• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, client visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
• Develop, review, and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to a proposed solution. Develop functional specifications and high-level system design.
• Working alongside the Lead Developer, Lead Designer and Lead Project Manager to define best approach from a delivery and commercial perspective.
• Develop requirements specifications and project scope of works, according to standard templates.
• Collaborate with tech, design and PM teams to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between requirements and practical project.
• Actively participate in all phases of the delivery of a solution acting as the steward of the requirements and acting as an advocate for the stakeholder(s) of the project.
• Serve as the conduit, through which requirements flow, between the stakeholders, end user community and project team considerations (e.g. usability, performance, cost, time to deployment, etc.).
• Assist in QA and defining testing strategy and risks. Provide significant contributions in the testing of new solutions or enhancements to existing solutions.
• Support the project manager in identifying, documenting and tracking of issues and risks on projects. Ensure issues and risks are reported on and resolved/mitigated in a timely manner.
• Work with project stakeholders to identify required changes and assuring that need for changes are documented and approved by the client, via the change request process.
• Assist in the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
• Act as a project leader/manager, coordinating the work of both internal and external resources when required.
• Stay abreast of industry trends in design, technology and digital advertising.
