Digital Asset Manager

We're in need of a creative, detail-oriented video Editor and Digital Asset Manager to aid the video department in executing high quality video, managing digital assets and aiding in implementation of a Digital Asset Management system (DAM). The Editor & Digital Assets Manager will join a dedicated team to develop creative concepts and to seamlessly execute raw footage into compelling, visual stories. Must have at least 5 – 7 years experience at a management level and preferably someone who has implemented a DAM solution from scratch.

The Digital Assets Manager position will be part of a new function of the creative and video team that manages all incoming assets for our clients’ and internal creative needs, supplying services to the Creative, Marketing Communications and Video departments. The Digital Assets Manager will manage all workflow and process digital media to our selected DAM provider (cloud-based Digital Asset Management), as well as aid in implementation of the new DAM solution.

The Asset Manager will be a self-motivated team player with keen attention to detail and stellar organizational skills in a deadline-driven organization. This individual’s fundamental responsibilities will include careful, purposeful cataloging and distribution of all assets moving through a fast paced high-volume environment

Work will be performed under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from Executive Producer about the work that needs to be completed. Able to exercise high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.

Digital Asset Manager:

Facilitate the implementation of a new Digital Asset Management and CMS solution
Ensure all incoming raw footage and photography is meta tagged and ingested into
Track and traffic final assets between multiple locations, sites and time zones
Ensure final, approved content is pushed through to the CMS and update content on
Management of one or more digital coordinators responsible for the go live process of
Create and maintain branding portals for team members worldwide
Develop and maintain a workflow process and distribution for monitoring and sharing the DAM multiple url’s as needed final content
Develop and maintain a fluent meta tag vocabulary for easy and consistent search and
Must be able to efficiently and accurately package and load copy, images, logos and of assets, along with overseeing the transcoding of raw footage from various codecs into the agency workflow delivery of raw and final assets other content from multiple sources onto final destination url’s
Troubleshoot sourcing missing assets and links
Work with team members from various departments to resolve any issues with the
Interface with digital and IT team to ensure media management needs are met
Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned
Ability to perform advanced quality assurance and confirm file accuracy files

Qualifications:
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere*, Media Encoder, After Effects, Photoshop
Familiarity with modern codecs, bit rates, compression methods, aspect ratios, and delivery standards for broadcast, internet, and specialized uses
Technical proficiency with Mac workstations and peripherals (video cards, RAID hardware, etc.)
Familiarity with file-based editing workflows (DSLR, RED, Alexa, AVCHD, etc.)
Basic understanding of modern camera and audio technology
Pleasant disposition and patience with different personality types
Ability to see the big picture of a project and keep surprises to a minimum
Willingness to challenge yourself in the absence of clear client directive
Minimum of 7 – 10 years of experience with digital asset management
Strong listening and team building skills
Demonstrate ability to accommodate diverse personalities
