Digital Asset Manager

AQUENT is currently seeking a Digital Asset Manager in Richmond, VA!

This position will be responsible for providing management and quality control of digital image content, metadata, and asset properties. Duties include review of large volumes of processed assets and images to ensure compliance with all licensor credit and ad restrictions. Primary responsibilities include supporting the digital asset workflow within the Brand Marketing department. Additional responsibilities include researching/documenting legal usage and rights; supporting efforts in finding efficiencies to current and future digital image and asset management operations.

Responsibilities:
•Responsible for leading overall strategy, implementation and workflow of the Digital Asset Management system for organization
•Acts as primary liaison between organization and various photo studios with regard to image names, new photography and archiving
•Responsible for ensuring taxonomy and metadata standards are adhered to in order to provide efficient search and accurate usage rights
•Manages the Digital Asset system and facilitate the uploading of assets as well as maintaining and upgrading the system
•Registers internal and external users to the Digital Asset Management system based on permissions
•Facilitates retrieval of previously cataloged images/shoots
•Drives business digital asset management roadmap to optimize image reuse, expense reduction, and align to changing needs of business units.
•Archive assets as necessary
•Generates asset download reports
•Maintains accurate procedures and records for the system
•Primary contact with DAM supplier and IT, responsible for system maintenance and upgrades
•Keeps informed of latest Digital Asset Management technology trends and innovations
•Leads user training for system
•Other duties as identified and assigned

Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelors Degree in IT or business related field
•System administration experience
•Process design experience
•Proficient on both MAC and Windows platforms
•General understanding of page layout asset formats, still image file formats, media processing technology, batching tools, and content storage (file types incl. JPEG, TIFF, GIF, Adobe (PSD, AI, PDF, FLASH))
•General knowledge of Adobe CS5 suite

Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with digital image and document management systems, order management systems, and media management tools (DAM technologies such as WAVE, Media Beacon, Artesia)
•Demonstrated professional experience in implementing enterprise-class media management tools in high-volume production and archive environments.
