Vitamin T is currently in search of an Digital Art Director for our client in Metro Detroit. This is a long-term opportunity!

Exceptionally talented digital thinker AND visual communicator. The Digital Art Director can take and own an assignment from start to finish, building thoughtful, strategy-driven creative work that turns heads out of the gate. This person is responsible for guiding screen design work until the guidance of the Interactive Manager.

Position requires mentoring, training and guidance of creative and product team members to understand the solutions and build capacity, creative templates and other reusable materials. You will interface closely with Front End-Designers to ensure solutions can be effectively and efficiently produced.

Our work is both business to business and business to consumer. Communications are highly targeted, customized data-driven emails, landing pages and occasional websites and rich-media solutions.


• Proven track record of marketing emails and communications: concept through execution.
• Ability to design and understand requirements to produce responsive emails, landing pages and occasionally websites and other rich-media solutions.
• Work with Creative Directors, Front-End Developers and Production Managers to establish project specifications
• Creating impact-oriented graphic layouts with an emphasis on information design, page hierarchy and UI/UX.
• Facilitate the design process from concept through completion and be comfortable documenting and knowledge sharing solutions.
• Ensure all projects are completed on schedule and on budget with high attention to detail.
• Organize and maintain graphics files
• Providing support and graphics for new business development proposals and presentations
• Desire to keep abreast of current communication and technological trends — marketing; design; social media, etc.
• Related duties as assigned



Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited four-year college or university required; an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.

Experience / Skill:

• Minimum of 4 years Art Direction and/or UI/UX experience, preferably in an agency environment
• Proven critical-thinking skills and ability to visually organize complex concepts
• Ability to receive and implement direction, as well as contribute ideas
• Strong ability to both push creative boundaries and adhere to brand guidelines
• Solid understanding of design-for-digital-development required
• Understand UX and Front-end web development and be comfortable working closely with front-end developers
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Office Suite/Powerpoint.
• Comfortable with FTP and web server file management.
• Experience with Axure, Basecamp, HTML5 rich-media production are a plus
