Digital Art Director

Vitamin T has an outstanding opportunity for a talented digital Art Director. This position is a 3 month contract and will be onsite, 40 hours a week in downtown Seattle.

You know your way around responsive web, web standards, and CSS, but you are grounded in traditional design thought and methodology. You thrive on handling multiple projects from concept to production. You present to clients with rock star confidence. Your digital knowledge is worthy of adoration. You love mentoring internally while leading teams to conceptual and creative greatness. You consistently startle clients with the unexpected. As an art director, you should have people looking up to you and wondering, “Where did that idea come from?”

Essential Functions:

■ Provide significant input to the strategic and conceptual direction of the work that our client creates and delivers for its clients.

■ Concept and execute compelling on-brand, on-strategy digital solutions for responsive web and mobile applications.

■ Concept and execute work across other media such as online advertising, advertising, print deliverables, and motion.

■ Inspire, motivate, and direct team members to create work that gets noticed, wins awards, and answers the needs of our clients.

■ Collaborate closely with user experience and front-end development teams to concept and execute digital projects.

■ Direct junior team members to successful execution of concepts and designs.

■ Collaborate with copywriters to develop advertising across print, online, social, and other media.

■ Present creative concepts to clients in face-to-face meetings as well as online.

■ Participate in new business development activities.

Job Skills:

■ Deep knowledge of digital tools, trends, and styles and well as advertising and design styles

■ Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

■ Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and work in a collaborative team environment

■ Experience leading a team of designers and production artists

■ Comprehensive knowledge of design software

■ Online portfolio packed with outstanding design, motion, and technical expertise in all things digital, including websites, online advertising, etc.

■ Experience with advertising and motion design is a definite plus.

Required Education:

■ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited design program

■ Six to ten years’ experience or more working in advertising design

■ Experience working at an agency on Fortune 1000 clients is preferred.

■ An extensive portfolio and work experience will outweigh the educational preference.
