Digital Art Director

Our client in Pasadena is looking for some to design emails, banners, landing pages and websites for their digital marketing department. The Interactive Art Director must possess a highly evolved knowledge of leading edge, forward-thinking Internet trends that can be applied to current and future work. In addition, this position will partner with the Vice President of Interactive in the development of up-front strategy-based roadmaps and informed analytics.


The Digital Art Director:
• Creates layouts and designs
• Translates business objectives into interactive creative solutions.
• Works closely with creative and technical teams to develop strategic recommendations.
• Manages creative projects from conception to completion
• Creates designs that portray a strong message and appeal to the target audience
• Juggles high-priority projects and handling tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Develops and implements outstanding design solutions promptly without sacrificing quality
• Keeps up on new developments in design programs
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
• Drives the look-and-feel of website efforts, online products, and other interactive initiatives.
• Create original graphics and icons for use on websites and other projects.
• Define and implement web design parameters, style guides, and visual standards.
• Establish and produce graphic material for use in online advertising and promotion of nonprofit services and products.
• Build strong collaborative decisions using diagrams and text.
• Documents designs and creations.
• Direct and mentor the design of other websites.
• Oversee work of other designers and outside contractors
• Ensure online branding consistent with multiple channels (TV, print, radio, etc.) and where necessary translate offline brands online
• Elevate customer engagement and interaction online

Qualifications:
•Knowledge and complete fluency with Adobe Creative Suite programs.
•Experience with Flash. At least, medium Flash Actionscript ability
•Programming: Coding abilities not required, but must know the strengths and weaknesses of emerging platforms and languages.

This is a temp-to-perm position onsite.
