Our client is a large financial institution in Tyson's Corner, VA and they are looking to hire a Digital Art Director with at least 5-8 years of advertising agency and conceptual experience who will be the go to person for all of their digital campaigns. This Digital Art Director role is a 6+ month assignment with the possibility to last up to 2 years. This Digital Art Director role would be for the in house agency. Health benefits and 401K offered.
60-70% Art Director:
Digital first (HTML landing pages, micro sites, websites, mobile, online display banners, social) with print/traditional coming in a close second (posters, direct mail, brochures, out of home, video). This Digital Art Director role is highly conceptual (campaign big ideas), exploratory (does due diligence in competitive research, brand landscape research, mood boards, look & feel exploration), credible well versed presence during presentations and able to speak to the work with excitement/clarity/enthusiasm and passion (good at selling the idea and the execution). Background in photography shoots, re-touching and video shoots is a mandatory. The Digital Art Director must be able to collaborate with external vendors/collaborators for projects and campaigns on a daily basis which will include reviews/feedback/conference calls.
30-40% Design, Illustration and Photography Production:
Digital Art Directors must be comfortable in the production realm as well. Extremely strong graphic design, interface design (UX, UI, wire framing), information design (info graphic and iconography design), has experience shooting photography and photo re-touching background (custom photography as well as stock photography), highly capable in illustrator creating custom iconography and infographics based on the brand's visual language. Digital Art Directors must be comfortable with delivering multiple options.
