Senior Digital Art Director

Our client are a global publishing group that operate on both sides of the Atlantic and in many other countries around the world. For over 30 years, our client have owned some of the biggest and most popular publications around the world and continue to explore different media outlets currently putting a lot of emphasis on the world-wide transition from printed publications to the digital space.
Our client are looking for a Senior Digital Art Director to join their creative team and work on digital products and features. Reporting directly into the Creative Director, the chosen candidate will work across our client core products, including website and mobile/tablet applications as well as various one off projects. Core products will be more of an ongoing process, working closely with UX and Research teams to constantly improve applications and the one off projects will work on a much quicker turn around.
Our client are looking for a conceptual Art Director with excellent hands on design skills and who is well versed in all things digital, from web to mobile and tablet applications. The chosen candidate will be comfortable liaising with developers and members of other digital teams, including User Experience, and must have a good knowledge of the UX process and under centred design. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to own projects from start to finish, working closely with senior members of the team and liaising with Stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
Our client are looking for an experienced Digital Art Director, ideally from a publishing background who has experience working with large amounts of content and in an editorial team. The chosen candidate must have solid experience working in a digital team across mobile applications and desktop and be comfortable designing for this space as well as conceptualising and briefing designers.
Other Skills Include:
Excellent hands on Design Skills using Adobe CS/CC
Proven experience in the publishing sector is ideal
Excellent knowledge of digital products, constantly looking to explore new technologies
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Knowledge of the UX process and user centred design.
