Digital Art Director - Social Media Platform

AQUENT is looking for an Art Director with expertise in the social media platform. This is an on going assignment, up to 40 hours per week, onsite. The selected candidate must work directly and collaboratively with members of the creative team to develop and produce effective digital communications. Is self-organized and manages multiple concurrent jobs.

This role requires complete self-assurance as well as the initiative to seek out new trends and incorporate them into every digital channel to influence consumers and promote brand loyalty. This role will work collaboratively with a copywriter where you will conceive, articulate, and create best-in-class imagery to promote goals and messaging for "Company A" lines of business and always on brand. You will be a keen team player and a self-sufficient multi-tasker who brings original approaches and innovative ideas to all social channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

Essential Job Duties:

• Understands that the creative brief is a unifying document that identifies the important key benefits for a campaign or launch and is essential for answering the “why”

• Can combine the power of words, design, and the overall imagery to evoke a cultural and emotional reaction

• Helps to develop a deeper brand imagery library by commissioning illustrators and photographers

• Understands the goal(s), audience, and message of a campaign and create compelling imagery for all types of content across all social platforms

• Ensure all content follows brand standards, is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for user experience for all social platforms

• Maintain a strong understanding of marketing, storytelling and advertising principles

• Maintain awareness of the latest industry trends in social, print, web, and broadcast

• Have a competitive drive to be at the forefront within our market on a social content level

• Becomes a part of a competitive, innovative, results-oriented culture that promotes openness, teamwork, mutual trust, positivity, and respect

Job Requirements:

• Excellent aesthetic judgment

• Can determine how best to represent a concept visually by determining approach and style

• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communications skills

• Can think both creatively and strategically and deliver tactically

• Ability to adhere to and push the aesthetic style of the brand’s visual imagery

• Has a thorough understanding of photography, typography, and the digital world

• A persuasive and confident approach to creativity

• Technical knowledge and understanding of social media platforms

• A strong portfolio that includes exceptional conceptual examples for social, digital campaigns, print, and broadcast

• The understanding that copy and design support each other and truly tell a compelling story together

• A keen attention to detail

• Great presentation skills, both internally and client-facing that express your ideas clearly

• Experience in creating best-in-class content using imagery to engage core audiences

• Effective project management and organization skills

• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and content schedules

• Ability to improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and identify work process improvements
