Digital Architect / UX Strategist

We're looking for a Digital Architect / UX Strategist for a client of ours in the Midtown area. This is an on-going contract opportunity

• Provides creative direction for digital user experience work
• Translates consumer insights into actionable creative strategies and breakthrough concepts that drive business results
• Provides thought leadership and direction to digital design across multiple projects
• Provides leadership for internal and external project teams as directed
• Implements innovative and appropriate technologies as a part of the overall interactive strategy
• Articulates User Experience (UX) concepts and solutions and advocates for customer-centric designs
• Creates scalable site structures and navigation elements that improve usability
• Ensures visual design adheres to the project requirements, objectives, and timelines
• Works with business partners and management to establish the best use of company resources for digital work, such as people, technology, and time

WHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?
• Demonstrates and promotes customer service skills to build productive partnerships with business partners and other associates
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge of digital user experience and trends
• Demonstrates effective, timely and consistent verbal and written communication, as well as high degree of comfort and proficiency presenting in a small-large group setting
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of hardware and software used in digital visual design production as dictated by department and business partner needs
• Demonstrates high degree of creativity
• Possesses thorough knowledge of company compliance standards including brand, intellectual property, copyright and trademark
• Learns/applies knowledge of department and enterprise policies, procedures, general operations and the organization's goals and broad strategies
• Consistently demonstrates exceptional digital design and problem solving skills
• Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in failure to reach goals crucial to significant organizational objectives and would profoundly affect the image of the organization
• Recognized as an expert in field internally and externally
• Uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives
• Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range targets
• Determines and pursues courses of action essential in obtaining desired outcomes
• Serves as organization spokesperson on specialized projects or programs
• Champions large projects that affect the organizations long-term goals and objectives

Experience
• Leads creative strategy development
• Operate as a part of the leadership team primarily responsible for the creation and development of experience concepts and designs used in online and native mobile
• Directs, manages, and delivers formal creative recommendations, presentations, deliverables
• Manages, implements, and monitors the effectiveness of experience concepts and designs
• Ensures a cross development center and development center partner view to enable consistency, quality, and integration in design through digital artifacts and prototyping approach
• Identifies opportunities to improve the user experience through the use of emerging capabilities, business simplification, and/or consumer insights
• Identify and resolve digital experience issues that are cross development centers and development center partners
• Responsible for a consistent, end to end user experience
• Brings in an external perspective that incorporates leading and emerging practices from the digital landscape to identify valuable concepts and applies these in innovative ways to the user experience
• Serves as the overall creative director for the program and provides a vision for the user experience
• Primary point of contact with Digital Foundations team to share execution learnings and assess impacts of the Digital Strategy, Digital Visual Template System (DVTS) and the Digital Experience Standards (DES)
• Designs, develops, and analyzes overall digital architecture
• Researches and recommends technology to improve the current digital design
• Applies cutting edge principles theories concepts and technologies
• Works on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly creative


ITEMS OF NOTE
• Job may require travel outside normal business hours; travel via commercial transportation and/or driving motor vehicles; and may include weekends
• Requires education and/or experience in digital user experience design
• Requires involvement in management-approved education programs and activities as applicable for continued development
• Portfolio of creative efforts required
• HFI Certification preferred
