Digital Analyst

Our large global banking client is looking for a Digital Analyst for a 5-6 month contract position. The Digital Analyst will support the Analytics and Optimization team for the Online Sales group within the consumer bank. This group is responsible for a website and the team specifically, supports the group by tracking site patterns, site traffic, customer experience, reporting and ad hoc analytics.

Job Description

• Support the analytic needs of the business unit by analyzing web traffic using website tools.
• Using excel and other tools, produce regularly distributed and adhoc reports.
• Create presentations entailing data extraction (from different sources) and analysis (aggregate/manipulate/ synthesize data). In short, turn raw data into presentable, business-friendly metrics, charts and actionable tasks.
• Identify and communicate key trends, learnings and insights which address business and marketing objectives.
• Collaborate with various teams and partners to assist with data collection and reporting.
• Assist in the knowledge transfer of digital analytics including but not limited to tagging, tool usage, training documentation and business requirements.

• Highly analytical – ability to aggregate, manipulate and synthesize data
• Pro-active in desire to understand data and website behavior
• Attention to detail and accuracy with ability to recognize anomalies; self-motivated to validate findings
• Handles multiple tasks, switches priorities and focuses as needed
• Proven ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills


Knowledge / Background / Experience:

REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor’s degree is required
2. Two-three (2-3) years experience within data/digital analytics.
3. Experience using Microsoft Office suite - Advanced proficiency in Excel required – please include Prove-It test scores on top of resume (Vlook ups, macros, pivots required)
4. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources is required.
5. Experience using website tracking tools required (some tracking tools include: Omniture, Coremetrics, Google Analytics, Webtrends, etc.) Team uses proprietary website tracking tool and contractor will be trained on tool, but experience with other tools within industry is required.
