Digital Analyst – Google Analytics, Data, Automation – London - £45-50K

Digital Analyst - will manage our website analytics end-to-end, from data collection, to insight gathering, to driving and testing optimisation. Millions of people come to my clients brand websites websites each year to find out about our credit card products; this role will be responsible for optimising their online presence to ensure they are increasing their market share and providing a great user experience for their customers.

My client currently uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Visual Website Optimizer as their primary tools in this area, but we do not require the candidate to have significant expertise with them. Far more important are strong intellectual and analytical faculties and the ability to quickly and independently acquire new skills. The Digital Analyst will evaluate user behaviour, identity problems and come up with solutions to propose to the business to improve the sites.

With the day-to-day basics of the role in place, the Analyst will spend most of their time working to drive new customer growth through website optimisation. This could include working with the development team to implement and test optimisations, identifying conversion pain points, developing analytics infrastructure to accommodate new website functionality, bringing in new tools and techniques etc. Ultimately, we would expect the Analyst to take the lead in shaping how the business approaches the problems and opportunities in this area, including the potential for substantial evolution of the role itself!

Responsibilities:
• Become the functional expert in website data collection and analytics
• Develop automated reporting to provide performance data and insights to the wider team
• Develop automated monitoring to identify problems with our website
• Usage of performance data and competitor/market insight to make recommendations to improve the customer journey
• Collaboration with the Senior Customer Experience Specialist and web developers to develop and test optimisations
• Champion digital analytics, provide basic training and advice to team/users and be a key go-to

Key Skills:
• Capable and curious autodidact, working on the frontier of our organisation’s expertise
• Strong analytical skills, honed in any context
• High intellectual capability, combined with commercial aptitude for problem solving and decision making
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, willing to get stuck in and roll their sleeves up
• Some experience with computer scripting (e.g. JavaScript, Python, Perl, Ruby, PHP, VBA, SAS)
• Some experience with SQL and/or databases a plus
• Some knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus

Location: Central London
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
