Our client is a leading UK Charity and are looking for a designer to join their busy team. You will be looking to get involved in the design of both on- and off-line materials. You will be able to think creatively and turn briefs and ideas into finished designs. As well as upholding the principles of the visual design principles of their brand across all channels. You will be working on a range of marketing campaigns and other communications. 

You will be a strong and confident communicator as you will be working collaboratively across departments, with internal stakeholders at all levels.

Main duties
Visual Design
 Create excellent visual design content, appropriate for the organisation and audience needs.
 Create design assets that meet the visual design principles and the creative ambition of the team and department.

Project Management
 Manage own creative projects: interpret and develop project briefs, ensure ideas and deliverables meet the needs and expectations of both the organisation and
 Be aware of project timelines and budgets to ensure delivery.

Cross-department collaboration
 Work closely with colleagues to develop integrated responses to briefs that effectively leverage all channels in achieving the organisation’s communications goals.
 Be aware of own project timelines and budgets to ensure delivery.


 Demonstrate creativity and conceptual thinking.
 Ability to produce complex design layouts.
 Design with end user/audience front of mind.
 Sketching, mock-ups.
 Expert user of Adobe Creative Suite tools: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
 Excellent written, visual and verbal communication and
presentation skills.
 Attention to detail, consistency and accuracy.
 Video production

 At least 3 years’ experience in a design role in a consumer facing, marketing focussed organisation or agency.
 Demonstrate application of design to both online and offline channels.
 Demonstrate ability to translate briefs to concepts and final creative deliverables.
 In the principles of cross discipline creative team working.
 Worked in complex stakeholder environments and has a service mind-set.
 Ability to rationalise and influence.
 Demonstrate strong organisational skills.
 Multitasking and prioritising. Able to work to tight deadlines.

 Comprehensive understanding of design theory and practice, e.g.typography, composition, colour, layout, photography, illustration.
 In tune with current design trends across all channels including digital and offline.

Educated to (first) degree level in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design or related visual / digital arts degree.
Desirable: Post graduate degree / qualification in digital design / communications field / Industry awards.
