Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
The User Experience Design Sr. Manager is responsible for leading the development of innovative and effective web site, mobile and physical digital user experiences that support the achievement of visitor goals and business objectives.

Specifically, this position is responsible for:
• Leading the development of customer engagement user experience solutions;
• Leading the development and evolution of actionable user personas, journey maps and use cases for each audience persona to inform digital experience design and development;
• Integrating web site analytics, user research, and persona definitions to inform web and design requirements and process;
• Partnering with the client's Insights team to design and implementation of usability and user experience research;
• Providing usability leadership and consultation for the creation and evolution of desktop, mobile and app, and in mall digital experiences;
• Leading the development of cohesive site architectures, wireframes, prototyping (using Axure or other tools) and requirements based upon usability principals, standards and research;
• Collaborating on user experience planning with graphic designers, developers, digital and marketing managers;
• Evaluating, aggregating and enforcing digital and user experience best practices and consistency across user experiences;
• Recommending improvements to enhance user experience based on feedback, usability principles and established standards;
• Managing external agencies and internal creative services to ensure the deployment of innovative and effective web experiences;
• Building information architecture models that specify how users will find information within web sites and apps, content hierarchical structures, navigation, and searching systems;
• Researching and understanding the latest user interaction and design trends;
• Facilitating conceptual design development with project teams and agencies;
• Executing interaction design and visual design as a part of a multi-disciplinary team; and
• Participating in quality assurance and user acceptance testing design.


Specific Knowledge/Skills

Required Skills and Experience
• 9+ years experience designing interfaces, information architecture, wireframes and prototypes for web site, mobile and other digital experiences.
• Excellent UI design skills and a demonstrable track record of designing interfaces and writing detailed specifications.
• Extensive experience in the development of typical UI deliverables; personas, use cases, journey maps, task flows, site architecture, wireframes and prototypes.
• Experience with prototyping tools; Axure and Balsamiq Graphic design tools; Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and MS Office: Word and Powerpoint
• Expertise with current usability research, theories, best practices and testing methodologies.
• Proven experience leading the design of web site experiences across multiple interaction channels (mobile phones, tablets, desktop, physical (kiosks), etc.).
• Ability to research, understand and organize specialized content.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Digital agency and budget management experience preferred.
• Experience working with programmers, designers, and taxonomy specialists.
• Solid understanding of mobile and web standards and accessibility.
• Strong understanding of mobile technology capabilities and standards.
• Flexibility and adaptability able to manage shifting priorities as projects evolve.
• Academic background in human factors, human computer interaction and/or user experience related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Undergraduate college degree or equivalent experience minimum, MBA a plus.
