Designer - Junior - GAP/NY (2178731)

Responsible for creating original concepts that encompass style, color and fabric as a result of interpreting fashion trends. Produces sketches and may make seasonal presentations of proposed designs. Analyzes fashion trends. Partners with sourcing and materials development. May provide basic fit and body block information and attend fit sessions. Typically reports to Design Director. Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience. Related design experience.

Job Title: Associate Designer ( Womens) Women’s Outerwear department- Please Submit flat sketches as well as Illustrator- If Resume Submittal does not have this, they will be rejected

Start Date: ASAP End Date:3-6 months

Work Schedule: M-F ( 9-6) OT will be available at Managers request.
Top 3-5 required skills- Illustrator, PLM & Sketching ability ( Must have 2- 3 Years experience in Women’s Design, Women’s or Men ‘s Outerwear experience.

Top 3-5 daily responsibilities: updating information in PLM, Tech Packs, Sketching, detailed oriented and professional ( must be punctual) Scope of the job:

Desired skills: The person should have women’s outerwear experience, BOM ( Bill of Material), Tech Packs, PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) experience would be ideal, they should be proficient in Illustrator and be able to do flat sketches and be detail-oriented (technically inclined)- PLM Experience is Ideal, Manager will consider Web PDM experience.

Type of background you are looking for: Design Background is a must that has familiarity with Women’s. Contemporary Experience preferable. Software skills: Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop and PLM
