Design and Merchandising Product Creation Ops

This position is business focused on Product Creation Operations and is responsible for providing on-going support of processes and operations for the Design and Merchandising divisions. This position will require collaboration with key members of Merchandising, Design, Product Graphics, Product Engineering, Sourcing, Costing, Marketing Graphics, Quality, Legal, Master Data and support organizations. This position will maintain operational standards, support global processes and monitor and ensure deadlines and data integrity is met.

Responsibilities:

Development Calendar: Support, maintain and distribute seasonal calendars in the department. Monitor calendars and communicate timely alerts of upcoming deadlines and deliverables throughout the season. Help address issues that arise from missed calendar deadlines or milestones, and help resolve conflicting priorities that arise during the season. Help problem solve for solutions or workarounds when process ‘misses’ take place, and take learning’s from these occurrences into the calendars created for future seasons.

Reporting and Auditing: Create and facilitate the gathering of seasonal product line data for designated product division. Communicate information and data requirements to all upstream and downstream partners during critical development timelines. Actively seek other reporting formats, which will help the team track seasonal progress and measure success against SRT strategies.

Tools and Templates: Maintains seasonal tools and templates used across Product Creation including Regional Briefs, Fabric Briefs, Print and Yarn Dye Briefs, Product Briefs, etc.

Data Overrides and Audits in PDM: Make updates to master data fields in PDM after styles have moved into the SAP system. Overrides require system updates and broad communication to multiple downstream partner teams and regions. Perform on-going data audits to ensure information is loaded and maintained in the system for data integrity purposes. Work back with Merchandising and Master Data teams to ensure data accuracy.

General Apparel Operations: Create and maintain seasonal Apparel Product Creation documents working with cross-functional team leads to accurately represent category team assignments across Design and Merchandising. Support Apparel department with the creation and maintenance of Waypoint tools and document templates. Support special projects as they come up. Help to maintain file management on department servers and department website. Maintain seasonal PDM libraries and workbench set up. Support training and On-Boarding of new employees in the department. General department maintenance of work space and showrooms as well as weekly communication to teams as needed.

Support the Implementation of GBT Requirements: Support testing, training and process improvements through the GBT. Act as a content expert of systems and process to ensure the Apparel department needs are supported.

Communication: Maintain positive open lines of communication with all Brand and Apparel management, corporate and global staff and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.
