The Global Strategic Design Office (GSDO) is recruiting for a Studio Strategy Coordinator to be located in New York, NY.

The Global Strategic Design Office (GSDO) is a global team made up of several critical functions dedicated to imagining, designing, and delivering relevant and engaging consumer and care experiences. GSDO is part of the Global Franchise Organization that is responsible for brand equity, innovation and pipeline development for the Consumer businesses, along with MD&D and Pharma. Design Strategy synthesizes insights and envisions the possibilities; Industrial Design develops structural and functional solutions that realize the human factors aspects of design; Print Implementation Management oversees the execution to design intent; and Design Project Management guides the process that delivers the end product. The GSDO is based in the New York City campus, along with the Global Marketing Group, Digital Center of Excellence and Korres Marketing, while interacting with worldwide partners.

The Studio Strategy Coordinator provides major support to the operation of GSDO including significant interaction with Franchise Creative directors and Design teams, Chief Design Officer, and support functions including finance. The role entails continued development and refinement of both new and existing tools, systems, and data collection processes. Additionally, the position provides critical financial and operational information and presents actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations in order to align with the quarterly, yearly, and longer term budgetary objectives and strategic initiatives.

The Studio Strategy Coordinator will report to the Studio Strategy Analyst and will participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating models, and operational execution. Maintain and execute analysis and operating processes of various business initiatives (e.g. brand portfolio additions, emerging/regional markets, and cross-functional project partnerships). Assist in the development and reconciliation of resource allocation and budgets with business partners across sector. Assist the Studio Strategy Analyst in the development and monitoring of contract labor, project, and studio operational budgets. Act as a resource to GSDO Finance support to ensure accurate spend tracking and monitoring via SAP, Ariba and internal data collection; manage studio cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed. Administer current financing strategies and activities, as well as third-party vendor relationships. Coordinate contracts with legal and third-party vendors. Utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization's operation and business plans.


A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in business administration or communications. A minimum of six (6) years work experience within a graphic design studio serving in similar capacity is preferred. Experience with corporate graphic design projects, including production exposure or in-house vendor experience preferred. Strong data analytical skills are required, which includes extensive Excel and Microsoft Office experience (on a MAC platform).

The position requires a working knowledge of package design and/or graphic design, costs, vendors as well as design research, industrial design, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. The candidate must be strong at communicating status and following up on multiple projects, keeping both the Director, Design Operations and GSDO Finance management informed on project developments/issues. Aptitude to coordinate multiple projects and complex projects simultaneously is required. The candidate must be customer-focused, passionate, independent, flexible, creative, innovative, and self motivated.
