Design Researcher

Our client, a well-known organization that tackles healthcare's most challenging problems, is looking for a UX Researcher to join their team.  This Design Researcher will be crafting experiences that not only delight, but also transform health with new approaches to productivity, care, and well-being. This person will be working with the team to design end-to-end experiences and communicating intended experience through artifacts such as storyboards, workflows, wireframes, concept maps, etc. They will be integral in making and describing design choices through user research, heuristics, and usability standards. The ideal candidate will be passionate, flexible, work in ambiguity, can effectively collaborate with cross functional teams, and thrives in an ever changing environmnent. Responsibilities include:

- Work closely with team members, product managers and developers to identify hypotheses that need investigation  
- Plan, conduct and analyze UX activities at an Agile cadence such as: usability testing; user research to identify user needs and to inform persona development; and hands-on workshops.
- Evaluate and validate early designs through regular usability testing of wireframes, clickable prototypes and released products.
- Analyze and synthesize research, translate insights into actions and requirements.
- Distill the inherent complexity and identify the right problems to solve
- Deliver findings and recommendations to teams verbally and visually through low-fidelity information radiators
- Maintain personas in order to build empathy and use storytelling techniques to share them

Qualifications:

- Portfolio/work samples at any fidelity including: 1) Information radiators such as personas, mental models, diagrams, etc. 2) Visualizations of complex user experiences: flows, scenarios, etc. 3) Early sketches to low-fidelity interactions (show your process)
- 3+ years experience conducting user research activities
- Experience working on complex products with multiple user groups 

Preferred:

- Master's Degree in a related field
- 4+ years conducting user research activities
- 2+ years of experience in secondary skill, ideally interaction design
- Experience working with distributed teams, even better if you have international experience
- Data analysis and statistical analysis experience Experience working in an Agile team
