Design Project Manager

We are looking for a Design Project Manager for our Athletic/Footwear Fortune 500 Retail client. As the Design PM, you will be a strong partner to Design, enabling them to execute their best work. The Design PM is an organized, strategic, positive team orchestrator who is responsible for executing the project objective and deliverables. The Design PM owns the day-to-day project schedule, and manages project costs, timelines and quality while remaining flexible and focused on delivering the best creative solutions. Has an ability to build relationships in order to leverage the matrix to ensure project success. The Design PM has a proven ability to make sound decisions, and seeks to understand. Accountable for end-to-end management of projects, from brief to project teardown. You will be reporting to the Design Studio Manager.

Job Duties:

• Understands the total context, and thoughtfully communicates the how and why of decisions and their impacts

• Attends the Functional Pitchbacks and understands the Marketing Deliverables List

• Act as the project communications hub, and facilitates connection to identify solutions and gain alignment

• Fosters a strong partnership with Brand Design and Brand Marketing to frequently calibrate deliverables with scope

• Attends Brand Design meetings, sets the agenda when necessary, and provides meeting recaps and project notes to relevant teammates

• Partners with the Brand Media Production team or external agencies to align on and track the budget, coordinate execution of style-outs,

photo and AV shoots, art buying, and vendor management

• Supplies the necessary documents to Marketing Ops for Legal, Sports Marketing and Business Affairs reviews at the right time

• Blocks and tackles for Design


• Creates, shares and updates the project schedule with all project stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery. Ensures

Design knows and is tracking to major gates and dates

• Reassesses throughout the Design process to keep Designers moving forward and deliverables on track

• Responsible for total asset management, including creating, updating and publishing the asset grid, informing the shot list,

communicating and driving the files standards

• Manages to the timely publishing of all assets and the Creative Direction per BNX requirements and standards

• Responsible for tracking and managing the project budgets through Checkbook and reconciliations

• Coordinates and manages outside vendors and agencies through Tradeshift, etc.

• Requests POs before the work begins, and processes invoices in a timely matter. Ensures vendors and partners are promptly paid

• Responsible for keeping Project Pulse updated and accurate

• Defines and leads project meeting cadence based on priorities

• Estimates resource requirements


• Raises risks and opportunities to the Design Studio Manager

• Tracks Creative Review gates and expectations, assisting the Design team as needed

Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience
