The Senior Manager of Creative and Brand Services (SMCBS) provides a wide range of services to a local non-profit, similar to a one-person, 360°, in-house agency, directly creating and executing the overall brand and image strategy for the company, including all digital and design initiatives. As the de facto creative director, in concert with the Director of Communications and Marketing, the SMCBS will develop all graphic representations and designs for all applications, build on brand equity, and work to ensure that non-profit remains relevant to local, regional, and national audiences, with a focus on reaching underrepresented, underserved, disenfranchised, and untapped markets.
Creating, developing, and maintaining a clear and articulate “look and feel” for the entire company
Creating, implementing, and monitoring all brand standards across the company internally and externally, including developing and enforcing institutional style guide
Providing wide-ranging graphic design services for the company, including all functional departments; creating all collateral in print, out of home and online
In conjunction with Key Brand Broadway partners, providing graphic design services in support of US Bank Broadway Across America Portland presentations
Developing and managing effective relationships with web, e-commerce, design, and production vendors
Serving as Webmaster, creating and managing design and content
In conjunction with Associate Director of Marketing and Associate Marketing Manager, undertaking web-specific analysis and recommending online materials and initiatives
Maintaining records of project budgets and actual costs, including labor and third party costs
Other duties as assigned
Stay current of all trends in social media marketing, search engine optimization, and other grassroots, community- and network-based tools, working closely with the Associate Director of Marketing, the Senior Manager of Communications, and the Communications Coordinator.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Dynamic, energetic, highly-creative, inspired, and inspiring seasoned professional
Five to ten years experience in a full-service agency, with a preference for direct experience with interactive, search engine, and social media initiatives and campaigns
Significant knowledge of and experience with brand creation and management
Superlative design sense and broad design experience, with a successful portfolio of winning and/or successful campaigns and projects
Demonstrated proficiency with computer graphic design and standard productivity applications including InDesign, Photoshop, Quark, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, WordPress, HTML, and other web-enabled tools
Demonstrated proficiency in building and maintaining web sites, blogs, video and audio libraries, archives, and channels
Hands-on experience managing large number of visual assets and knowledge of cloud-based and other storage and archiving solutions
Experience with web analytics
Ability to manage often competing multiple tasks and projects in an effective and efficient manner
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience with managing printing processes and print vendors
Ability to work effectively as a team member as well as alone, as required by individual projects and operations
JOB CONDITIONSThis position may require occasional evening and weekend work. Some driving may be required, provided the SMCBS has a valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
