Description of Responsibilities:

2. Provide Leadership:
• Direct, mentor, and motivate design staff to ensure they are prepared to effectively develop creative solutions, that effectively support our business needs
• Lead and inspire staff to create and optimum, positive work environment which adheres to our guiding principles
• Troubleshoot and arbitrate to effectively solve workflow and interpersonal conflicts
• Present and review proposals and design concepts with clients at all levels of management
• Look for opportunities to support our company’s competitive advantage

3. Oversee and develop Creative
• Manage and oversee the design services to ensure the creative output meets or exceeds our standard of excellence
• Develop creative solutions on specific projects, and provide design support of pre-established directions
• Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
• Help structure and direct the approach of individual projects
• Provide guidance and assessment of work produced by outside suppliers such as attending photoshoots, and reviewing proofs from printers (including services hired by clients and other third parties

4. Provide strategic Consultation:
• Assess existing and potential strategies and executions, develop proposals and briefing documents for internal and external purposes
• Do field research, store audits, attend focus group research, question clients, account manager, suppliers etc., to determine project goals
• Develop potential strategic scenarios for concept development

5. Develop and manage workflow systems:
• Develop, manage and promote systems and protocols to optimize efficiencies of the studio (and company in general) to increase profitability
• Exercise time management skills to ensure smooth flow of business
• Attend and help run all scheduling meetings. Ensure scheduled time commitments are realistic, and resources are appropriately allocated

6. Training and Development:
• Establish goals and development strategies for studio staff. Seek support and learning from others to meet or exceed developmental expectations
• Mentor and train staffing group or one-to-one sessions, through formal sessions as well as on an ad hoc basis
• Assess skill strengths and shortcomings of yourself and the team as a whole to determine development needs

7. BusinessManagement:
• Help develop business opportunities with existing clients, lapsed and potential clients
• Assist in the development of new products and services; enhance or overhaul existing ones
• Increase the company’s strategic competitive advantage to create enthusiastically satisfied clients
• Look for opportunities to support our company’s competitive advantage • Support a corporate culture that is positive, fulfilling, nurturing and rewarding
