Design Lead: Immediate Contract To Hire

Our Client is seeking a fantastic Design Lead!

You will be responsible for the overall design of media (print, online/digital and video) in order to promote

the mission, membership, brand, and product lines. Develop quality designs for the development

of campaigns, publications, website, and digital products. Support the design, timeline, and production of

the marketing materials and periodical publications. Maintain branding and graphic

standards, marketing assets and materials inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide creative design and production for a wide array of custom projects in print and digital

formats to support the and its affiliates. Including but not limited to print and online

advertisements, meetings materials, app graphics, displays, signage, posters, banners

(both print and online), branding assets, emails, flyers, logos, book covers, brochures,

electronic newsletters, and presentations.

Maintain branding and style guidelines, registered trademarks for the AANA and sub-brands.

Serve as a consultant to staff for guideline compliance and review.

Develop and maintains production schedules for a timely release of high quality designs that

comply with brand standards and allocated budget.

Prepare electronic files for prepress or digital output, preflight, and package according to


Manage outside designers, vendor, and freelancers including quotes for competitive bids.

Gathers and analyzes design and printing estimates to identify most cost-effective expenditures;

reviews production budgets and takes corrective action as required to maintain cost efficiency.

Coordinates and oversees mailings going out and to facilitate distribution.

Keep current with changing design trends and latest design and production\ software.

Supervisory responsibility for the Associate Graphic Designer.

Qualifications—To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential

duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability


Baccalaureate degree required and two to five years related work experience in marketing

communications. Knowledge of marketing practices, industry trends, and ROI analytics.

Detail oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.

Proven ability to write creative and compelling marketing copy.

Familiarity with market research techniques and surveys.

Education and/or Experience

Knowledge of graphics programs (QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop,

Pit Stop, and various Microsoft products).

Excellent project coordination and scheduling skills; excellent verbal and written communication

skills; good proofreading skills.

Well organized, detail-oriented, capable of handling a variety of projects simultaneously,

conscientious of deadlines.

 HTML/XHTML/XML coding, Web, and UX design experience preferred.

 Infographics and photography experience a plus.

Working Conditions

 Job involves in-office work, performing a variety of projects concurrently.

 Occasional weekend commitment required or travels for meetings and conferences.
