Develop, direct and lead Digital Design initiatives, contribute significantly to the graphic and packaging design initiatives of the brand, and be a mentor to a team of design talent.

* Oversee digital design and project management including all phases of design, concept, user interface, design development, and implementation.
* Lead a design team to produce high-level digital, graphic and packaging design that builds brand equity and delivers on the objectives of creative briefs.
* Utilize creative brief and/or creative direction for digital initiatives and clearly articulate/brief external partners for concept and/or asset development.
* Review and evaluate digital concepts and assets developed by external partners to ensure quality, usability, and brand consistency; provide actionable feedback, working with external partners to meet and exceed creative expectations.
* Articulate a point of view that helps shape the strategic direction of creative design; collaborate with Marketing and retail partners to build compelling strategies that translate consumer insights into meaningful, on-brand creative design solutions.
* Ensure that brand character, image and voice are represented consistently across all projects, retail channels and media platforms.
* Oversee and manage the workflow and day-to-day running of a design team (Digital, Graphic, Packaging); establish priorities and allocate resources accordingly.
* Communicate strategies, concepts and creative initiatives with authority, credibility and clarity. Build consensus and agreement for creative approvals.
* Demonstrate a willingness to do whatever it takes to make the creative solution stronger; always be open to new ideas and creative feedback.
* Lead, manage, coach and develop team members.
* Gauge priorities across domains and teams; clearly communicate a sense of urgency around requests.
* Liaise with Marketing, Sales, Education, Packaging Development and Travel Retail teams, across all regions on a regular basis to provide necessary focus and support for all projects.
* Work closely with Executive Director of Design and all Design Teams, as well as, Copywriters, Visual Merchandising, Multimedia Production and Creative Operations to ensure timely development and seamless implementation of all elements for all initiatives.

Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or design-related field.

8 years of previous design experience in a marketing communications field and management experience with proven results. Strong background in graphics, print design and web design; experience with branded consumer goods a plus. Heavy experience with client presentations; photo art direction. Strong proficiency in Adobe and Mac design software.

• Proven photography art direction experience and knowledge important for simple product and ingredient studio/tabletop/digital photography. Experience with beauty and collection location and studio photo shoots a plus; knowledge of broadcast and/or video art direction also a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of Web design and user interaction.
• Proven experience leading teams and direct reports.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable presenting to audiences large and small.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and highly collaborative team environment is a critical requirement.
• Familiar with Digital jargon/terms/language and fundamental concepts and tools
• Proactive, organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple tasks and work with all personalities.
• Strong proficiency in Mac OS; Adobe Creative Suite software, Office and PowerPoint.
