The deputy editor is an assignment editor who acts as liaison between editorial staff and internal subject matter experts who provide thought leadership for online content. The deputy editor manages multiple stakeholder relationships and aligns content strategies to present a cohesive corporate editorial message.

The Deputy Editor is responsible for:
· calibrating thought-leadership editorial plans with input from strategists and SMEs on topical focus and messaging
· overseeing SME editorial schedule to cover key topic areas, maintain cadence and scheduling continuity
· vetting content against site standards and providing necessary feedback to content producers
· using metrics and news judgment to provide feedback to contributors on their performance
· blogging and periodically repurposing assets into content for publication
· helping teams develop content ideas based on existing assets, pending product launches and events, and messaging goals
