The Demand Generation Manager has end-to-end responsibility for campaign planning, execution, and management, as well as lead nurturing strategy and campaign metrics. In this role you will be responsible for the development and execution of demand creation programs and automated marketing campaigns to help accelerate client’s growth in the cloud, security, and mobility markets.
The Demand Generation Manager must be a strategic thinker, problem solver, and a well-rounded marketer with a strong customer focus. This person will be an integral member of the marketing team, helping to lead marketing's efforts to grow our presence and short and long term sales in the marketplace. They will work closely with the Product Marketing, Online Marketing, Marketing Intelligence, and Sales management, as well as outside agencies and vendors.
Responsibilities include:
• Create and execute demand and lead generation strategy for assigned campaigns, including: content requirements, lead nurturing plan, marketing tactics needed to build campaign funnel, and reporting templates
• Initiate, manage, and nurture programs to accelerate prospect movement through the demand generation funnel.
• Partner with Product, Sales Enablement, Marcom, Sales, and GTM organizations to develop campaign tactics and marketing materials that effectively convey value proposition of Verizon services.
• Be the sales opportunity catalyst forecast, measure, analyze and report on the impact of demand generation and creation activities on sales pipeline, revenue and sales cycle length
• Manage data for new and prospective clients in Salesforce.com in conjunction with the marketing operations team, ensuring communications are logged, information is accurate and documents attached
• Partner with the Marketing Intelligence and Client Engagement organization to identify campaign segmentation parameters
• Build and cultivate relationships with Product and Sales by initiating and conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales process.
• Actively solicit input from internal groups regarding new Demand Generation and campaign plan requirements for new product launches and existing products pipeline development.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs)-- Analyze and interpret key metrics/reports, recommending corrective action and ensuring continuous improvement and effectiveness.
• Monitor the development of campaigns, including: lead to opportunity conversion and key metrics to assess performance and quickly adjust course as needed.
• Investigate and implement new technologies, services and/or vendor solutions to enhance Marketing’s capabilities.
Requirements
• Strong expertise in building B2B demand generation strategies and campaigns
• Ability to balance strategy and campaign execution
• Proven expertise in B2B demand generation strategy and campaign role or sales enablement, campaign metrics, online marketing, product marketing /project management background
• Adept at analyzing campaign results and measuring performance against KPIs
• Proven experience with demand generation marketing and a strong command of marketing automation systems (Teradata) as well as CRM systems (Salesforce.com).
• Familiarity with sales-stage nurture tactics, buyer personas and lead scoring.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence others without formal authority
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
