We’re looking for a smart and ambitious Demand Generation Manager to help us plan and execute our growth campaigns. The ideal candidate will be a data-obsessed, well-rounded marketer, with a killer instinct for running campaigns that outperform. Your campaigns will help us drive awareness and signups, onboard and engage users, and generate monthly billings. You should understand freemium & platform business models and know what developers respond positively to, how they learn, and how developer communities work. 

Responsibilities: 
Plan and execute creative, data-driven campaigns to generate new traffic at the top of the funnel through paid channels including SEM, display advertising, retargeting, social advertising and content syndication. Includes managing relationships with external vendors and agencies. 
Ongoing campaign optimizations; including ad, landing page testing and, execution and analysis of A/B tests. 
Understand Marketing Automation and the customer lifecycle. Whether it’s a multi-touch nurture program, the monthly newsletter or an emergency user email, you know it’s purpose and can help support efforts, if necessary. 
Measure everything. Track and analyze campaign effectiveness to determine ROI and prioritize resources. Own and share the analysis and reporting on the success of our demand gen efforts. 
Amplify the Heroku brand and product positioning, ensuring consistent, on-brand messaging -- everywhere. 

Qualifications: 
4+ years successful high tech and/or developer marketing. 
Experience with freemium business models, especially driving user engagement, user adoption and revenue for a direct, online business model. 
Strong Experience running SEM, display advertising, retargeting, paid social and email marketing, as well as 
Experience with Google AdWords & Analytics, and Salesforce a must. Marketing automation experience is also preferred. 
Creative thinker, self-motivated and results-oriented, strong analytical and communication skills, a natural team player. 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree is a plus
