This is an onsite M-F 40hr /week freelance position with the potential to convert full time!

A tremendous opportunity exists in a growing business for a talented database marketing production

manager to join our financial services client's newly created Database Marketing organization

The Database Marketing Manager is a key member of the Database Marketing team. This role is

accountable for the overall delivery of database marketing initiatives for the Investment

Management organization. Responsibilities include orchestration and delivery of tailored email and direct

marketing materials to support Distributed Sales initiatives and new product launches, and track overall

sales/marketing performance through lead management, robust testing, measurement and analysis H/she

will be particularly responsible for delivering direct marketing materials in support of client IM

marketing campaigns to intermediary, retirement, wealth management and institutional clients. This position

will lead the delivery and reporting of day to day direct mail and email campaigns.

Primary Responsibilities:

 Develop, manage and deliver a broad range of client IM database marketing initiatives

across the enterprise. Support the ongoing prioritization and delivery of direct marketing

campaigns, balancing internal resource and business impact.

 Partner with Channel Marketing teams, Digital, Performance Analytics, Sales Management,

Production and IT to create, execute and enhance data-driven direct mail and email strategies

to financial advisors and other key audiences.

 Manage the Database Marketing team, including an email/direct mail programmer, campaign

data associate and internal/outside creative resources.

 Partner with Data Analyst to understand financial advisor needs and behavior through data

collection, profiling, segmentation and marketing/sales engagement and develop test and learn

program to optimize number of products owned; develop up-sell/cross-sell campaigns to

increase client's assets under management (AUM).

 Design and implement prospecting, trigger, subscription and lead scoring/conversion programs

using campaign management/marketing automation tools.

 Collaborate with digital marketing team to integrate offline and online customer experiences.

 Collaborate with Sales management to integrate marketing data with sales activities as part of

lead management and nurturing.

 Work with data analyst and head of Database Marketing to develop robust measurement and

analytics capability to evaluate marketing performance, client/segment migration and overall

marketing ROI.

 Encourage innovation, share results to influence new ideas across the organization.

Skills and Experience:

 Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in direct or database marketing.

 BA required, MBA or MS in Data Science a plus.

 Key competencies include expertise in direct marketing, relational database development,

analysis, project management, budgeting, communication, teamwork, agency management,

experience in servicing internal and external customers, results reporting and strategic

thinking.

 Experience managing direct marketing programs for investment products such as mutual

funds, SMAs, CEFs, ETFs, equity, fixed income, alternatives and hedge funds at a leading

asset management firms(eg Legg Mason, MFS, PIMCO, T. Rowe Price, Franklin Templeton)

targeted to Intermediaries-IBD, Wirehouses, Institutional and DC channels is desirable.

 Recent experience proficiently working with marketing automation or campaign management

tools such as Marketo, Eloqua, Exact Target as well as BI and data visualization systems

such as OBIEE, Tableau, Cognos, among others.

 Has worked with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Salespage, Microsoft Dynamics or Sugar

CRM

 Keen understanding of database design, direct marketing, segmentation and correlation with

driving business impact in support of Sales.

 S/he is a maverick at best practices in email and direct mail marketing.

 Proficient using MS Excel, Access, Powerpoint, familiar with SQL .

 Can work in Adobe cloud suite including Dreamweaver (HTML).

 Data- driven individual with emphasis on test-learn-refine.

 Outstanding project management and written and oral communications skills.

 Demonstrated ability to manage changing requirements and short timelines a plus.

 Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

 Managing a diverse group of senior stakeholders in the business.
