Data Architect (Electrical)

Our client is looking for help with data management -- candidates with a background in electrical 
equipment to manage technical product data in clients homegrown Product Information System (PIM). 
There are three weeks of internal training, but a background in SQL or Access is highly 
desirable. Excel is a must 

Location is Raleigh. List of duties and tasks: 

Data architect:

· Manage the product information contained in homegrown (PIM) Product Information Management system (OPS-Offer Presentation System). Coordinate with the product manager 
· In coordination with the product manager, structure the technical product data in the PIM 
· Create and manage the PIM Description Model in the PIM 
· Manage the PIM-based data selection tools 
· Validate the quality and availability of the data 


· Associate part numbers (SKUs) with product images, 2D CAD drawings, user manuals, catalogs 
. Validate with Product Mgmt 
. Communicate need for new product photographs 
· Assign technical product attributes to existing legacy products 
. Validate with Product Mgmt 
· Assign new or additional SKUs and attributes to the Content Management System (CMS), aligning with global attributes and values, as well as attaching to US product catalogs visible on the US website 
· Build new simple product selectors as required for US Commercial products. 
· Maintain existing selectors as required due to product obsolescence, extended product offerings, introduction of new lines within an established range 
· Update product attributes in selectors or CMS as required due to product changes or errors found 

· Familiarity with electrical products 

· Education: min two year technical school
