Data Analyst and Marketing Automation Specialist

Our client, a Fortune 500 creative design software client, is looking for a Data Analyst and Marketing Automation Specialist in Orem, UT.

The Data Analyst and Marketing Automation Specialist will be responsible for the analysis and development of dashboards, graphs, reports, and presentations of marketing automation and inside sales results. Will also help support the development and delivery of automated marketing campaigns with specific support for nurture programs.

Data Analyst Responsibilities:
• Develop dashboards, graphs, reports, and presentations of marketing automation and inside sales results
• Assist with lead scoring analysis and quarterly update of scoring models
• Analyze lead management model and identify areas for improvement including: lead delivery, rejection analysis, recycle programs, activity metrics
• Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• In collaboration with others, develop and maintain databases and data systems necessary 
for projects and department functions
• In collaboration with others, develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies 
that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
• Interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings
• Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports
• Create and present quality dashboards
• Generate routine and ad hoc reports 



Marketing Automation Responsibilities:
• Support automated nurture programs by designing, executing and reporting on programs.
• Work with Marketing teams to translate marketing requirements into functional campaigns within marketing automation and CRM systems
• Manage outbound e-mail campaigns for nurture programs
• Routinely audit practices to ensure compliance with best practices
• Manage test cases for nurture programs

Knowledge/Skills:
• Experience with marketing automation programs, such as Eloqua, Marketo, Unica or Aprimo is preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to analyze data and convey information.
• Knowledge of statistics. To the degree that the candidate can communicate easily to other statisticians
• Experience using SAS, SPSS, or other statistical packages is desirable for analyzing large datasets
• Experience using Cognos, Tableau, Business Objects or other BI reporting and query tools
• Experience in data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate
• Experience building databases
• Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelors in Information Management, Computer Science or Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
• Experience working in software or technology industry preferred.
• Previous data analyst experience or working closely with Information Systems and/or marketing groups.

• This is a 6 month, full-time, onsite, W-2 contract position located in Orem, UT
